Subject: What is it......
Has anyone seen those things floating in the water that look like baked potatos? I saw a few in Beach Haven near Center Street this morning. What are they?

It sounds like maybe they are some kind of sponge or urchin. Can't say for sure as I've never seen them.

Oh, I saw them. I think they are Sea Turdles.

Submitted By Gus on July 9, 2010
Maybe they ARE floating spuds.

Why would anyone throw baked potatoes into the ocean?

Submitted By HateTheGulls on July 9, 2010
Were they near a restaurant. Maybe seagulls picked them from the trash and dropped them.
