Off season restaurants posted on July 14, 2005
My fiancee and I are interested in getting married on LBI next October (weekend of the 7th), but are concerned that many of the restaurants may be closed for the season. Some of our guests will be spending the weekend on the island. Are there restaurants that are open that late in the year, and if so, approximately how many?

Bisque posted on June 28, 2005
What's with the new restaurant "Bisque" - different owners than Trupia's? Formerly known as "C'est La Vie" a couple of years ago too.

Fudge posted on June 27, 2005
While I'm on vacation this year, I planned on having some COuntry Kettle Fudge delivered to my grandparents. They're the ones that introduced me to the island, but due to their medical conditions they can no longer visit themselves. Sending them a little piece of the island is the least I can do! My question is this- I know that you can order online. But is there a way to actually go to to the shop yourself to order it and then have it sent out?

Can anyone tell me of some restaurants that allow you to dock your boat and then eat, located on LBI or in Tuckerton Seaport? I already know of Dutchman's and Morrison's, but are there any others that you can recommend? Thank you!

Ship Bottom Shellfish posted on May 5, 2005
We bought a home in Brant Beach last year. We love trying the variety of restaurants on the island. We are looking for a casual place for great seafood in the Ship Bottom area (and kid-friendly). I haven't seen any postings about this particular restaurant. Any feedback about eating in at the Ship Bottom Shellfish would be appreciated. Thanks.

Another One Bites The Dust posted on April 24, 2005
I was browsing through the Zack Reality website and I saw that the great M&M Steam Bar is up for sale! I remember my dad and my uncle going there and getting all kinds of seafood to put in our big steamer. Another long time Long Beach Island treasure is going under. I will miss it. I had planned to go there this summer. I am sure I am not the only one who has great memories of the M&M Steam Bar. I just would like to know if there are others out there who share my sadness on this closing of an era and what their memories are of M&M Steam Bar?

Honey Bubbles posted on March 29, 2005
I heard Honey Bubbles was also sold to developers, is this true? I thought it was a successful business. How long before all the small, family-friendly businesses are gone and all that is left are "upscale" restaurants/clubs/shops and overpriced houses? What do the year round residents think of this?
