Ravioli & More posted on June 19, 2008
Has anyone ever ate at Ravioli & More? I am going to Ship Bottom in August for 3 nights and my parents and I were wondering if it is good and not too pricy.

Seafood posted on June 18, 2008
We're coming down for July 4th week, and would really appreciate some recommendations for fresh seafood in the Loveladies area. We love to cook --so we're mainly looking for fresh fish, etc.
We're so looking forward to our LBI vacation!

Theo's posted on June 15, 2008
Anyone heard anything about Theo's Restaurant. They don't seem to be open yet this year and usually are by now. It's starting to look like they may be out of business. I guess all that full page advertising last year didn't pay off. Any word?

Tofu? posted on June 10, 2008
Does anyone know if Murphy's Market sells tofu? If not Murphy's is there any place else on the island that may sell it? Just want a heads up before I come down as to whether I can buy it there or if I should bring my own. (I use it in a lot of my cooking.) Thanks in advance.

No, I've never been to the Greehouse Cafe, but I have used discount dining certificates from the site. The G C is the only restaurant on LBI that participates; you may find other restaurants, in other towns, by keying in the zip code.

Mud City Crabhouse posted on May 8, 2008
I heard that this place is right over the causeway, and has excellent food. I also heard that this restaurant is owned by the same owners as Ship Bottom Shellfish, and The Black Whale. Is it the same quality, and does it make sense to try something off the island?

Does Cassidy's in Barnegat Light still sell Irma's Mahattan-style calm chowder? We're coming down for the first time in 12 years on Memorial Day weekend and are holding out hopes that they still do!
Can't wait to see the Island again.
All my best.

Frozen Custard posted on May 1, 2008
Was wondering...besides Ritas...is there anywhere on the island that sells frozen custard? I would have thought that the Custard Hut did, but when we went there, it just seemed like regular old ice cream!

Penziminio posted on March 31, 2008
We were down this past weekend and decided to try Penziminio Trattoria. They had a nice menu. Prices were average to slightly above. We both had pasta dishes which were very good. The portions were good size and we both ended up taking half our meals home. The bread was great and plenty of it. You have your own bottle of olive oil on the table for dipping, which was nice. I personally like red pepper flakes mixed in to give it a little kick. Maybe they will have that in the future. We had sausage and broccoli spring rolls for appetizers, they were hot and spicy with a hot dipping sauce which i like but might be too hot for some people. The only real negative was that it was very loud and hard to have a conversation while your eating your dinner. I would think that may because the ceilings are high and floors are tiled. Would we go back there again? Absolutely, but only off season while its still less crowded. Now you have two nice restraunts in that area to choose from, the other being The Bisque.Enjoy.
