Ship Bottom Shellfish posted on May 27, 2009
Hello LBI! Based on the positive feed back on this wonderful informational site, my family and I ate at this quaint, but superb establishment this past weekend. WOW! Without writing a reveiw, we are a family of six and everyone loved what they had. Enjoy the summer, and the best that the Island has to offer.

Bye Bye Blue; Hello Sandpiper posted on May 26, 2009
Went to the new Sandpiper (site of the old Blue in Surf City) on its first night last Friday. Staff a little green, menu truncated, but food good and prices within reason. Hoping they "beef" up the menu!!

Howard's Take Out posted on May 23, 2009
Whatever happened to Howard's take-out? I was on LBI last week after 30 year, and it wasn't there. The landscape and landmarks have definitely changed. I hope everyone enjoys their summer. All my best.

A Shrimp Dish posted on April 30, 2009
Hello LBI! I once had a shrimp dish on LBI in a restaurant somewhere near the bridge. The name had shrimp, or shell, or shellfish in it's name. Sorry, but it's been a number of years and I'd love to ask the experts on this site prior to arriving for a family vacation. It was the best shrimp that I ever had -- almost like a Portuguese scampi. I was there on a fishing/business trip and would like to find the restuarant again. Thank you for any help that you can provide. Please enjoy your summer.

I heard that Tuckers food has gone down hill. I also heard a rumor that it is going to be sold to the people that own Plantation and Daddy-O. Any infromation would be appreciated.

DeFiglio's Great Value Supermarket In Ship Bottom. posted on March 16, 2009
......any word, or sign that they're going to re-open anytime soon? They closed for the season in November, but were supposed to be open again in mid March, yet it doesn't appear that'll be the case as of now. I really like going there to shop, though I'll admit that I'm kind of surprised that it's still around, since they don't really do a lot of business these days. Any word on when that store will be back in business?
