Beach Haven Inlet
General Information
Though the water tower that stands above the community bears the name Beach Haven Inlet, many people consider this community to be part of Holgate.
The area is also known as Beach Haven Heights.
The southern end of Long Beach Island below Beach Haven Inlet is home to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. This two and one-half mile stretch of beach and marshland is closed to visitors during the summer season to protect the animals and environment. However, many people enjoy the natural surroundings during the late Fall through early Spring.
