|I don't know if Beachy, Why Not and some of the others are one and the same person, but it seem to me that a little friendlier attitude would encourage people to use the site. As our mothers said, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Isn't the island supposed to promote itself here? View Answers

Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce
Many LBI businesses are members of the Chamber of Commerce, whose headquarters is located in Ship Bottom. The organization sponsors many popular events on Long Beach Island.
Water Quality and Beach Closure Reports
The Ocean County Health Department web site offers daily reports on the quality of the water in the ocean, bay and local rivers and lakes. You can also find a daily report listing which beaches in the area may be closed.

Island Beach State Park
The island north of Long Beach Island is home to an undeveloped wonderland. The southern end of the island is home to a 10 mile long preserve with sand dunes and white sandy beaches that offers habitat to maritime plants and diverse wildlife.
